Arkana Branding
This concept was designed for Arkana, a healing center in Peru dedicated to ancestral medicines and spiritual growth. As someone who is personally connected to spirituality, I felt a deep responsibility to honor their mission.
The goal for this branding was to create a visual bridge between ancient traditions and a modern, professional healing space. I wanted the design to feel as grounded and intentional as the practices themselves, reflecting Arkana’s commitment to healing the world with respect and care.

MOODBOARD
This mood board serves as the sensory foundation for the brand, capturing the raw beauty of the Peruvian landscape. I used these images to establish a palette of deep forest greens, misty mountain blues, and warm, earthy neutrals.
The goal was to create a "healing" aesthetic that feels organic and grounded. By pulling from natural textures like linen, stone, and lush foliage, the brand instantly feels peaceful and connected to the ancestral roots of the Arkana experience.
SHIPIBO PATTTERN
The Shipibo pattern is a central element of the logo, honoring one of the most iconic cultural traditions of the Peruvian Amazon. By weaving this traditional art into the branding, we ground the identity in authentic heritage.
I also integrated butterfly imagery, which was deeply important to the client. The butterfly serves as a powerful symbol of spiritual rebirth and transformation—capturing the themes of hope, change, and the new life that Arkana helps its visitors discover.
BRAINSTORMING
These were some initial ideas I had for the logo. I was very playful in my approach and tried to experiment with different angles, shapes, and different ways I could include the shipibo pattern.
THE LOGO
On the right is the final logo, and on the left is a variation of the logo that includes the location of the center.
TYPOGRAPHY & COLOR
For color, we included neutral tones, calming blues, and a gold-tinted brown to add a pop to the palette. As for typography, we chose Ivy Presto for the headings, Rift for the subheads, and Brandon Grotesque for the body text.
